OLPS Core Team

The OLPS ACTS Core Team serves as the governing body of the ACTS ministry, composed of six men and six women dedicated to advancing the mission of ACTS in our community. The greater good of the OLPS ACTS mission is always foremost in the prayerful decisions and activities of the Core Team. The team meets monthly to provide leadership, guidance, and spiritual oversight for retreats and ongoing formation.

Core Team members are practicing Catholics and registered parishioners who are committed to building and sustaining the ACTS community as a ministry. Each member must have attended an ACTS retreat as a retreatant, served on an ACTS retreat team, and demonstrated leadership qualities within the community. To maintain balance and diversity of experience, spouses may not serve simultaneously, and efforts are made to ensure balanced representation of both men and women.

When vacancies arise, nominations are prayerfully gathered from the community during the three months prior to the nomination meeting. Eligible names are discerned through prayer in a spirit of surrender to God’s will. Names are placed in a basket and drawn in order, and individuals are invited to serve sequentially until the position is filled. Core members serve a three-year term.

Retreat Directors are selected using the same prayerful discernment process as Core Team members.
